Hey guys! I made it safe and sound to Winnipeg. Mom and I flew out of YVR last night at 6:30. Getting there was a pain, because it was rush hour. Didn’t help my headache any. Now I remember why I love YXX so much better!!! We had an early dinner at the Milestones Palimino Bar that was near our gate. Great burgers! Then we hopped onto our flight, WestJet, and direct!! It was sooo nice. It was one of their new 737-700s with the leather seats and satellite TV.

As we flew over Saskatchewan it started getting dark and the lights of the towns below came out. It was so gorgeous! Once we hit the Manitoba border I was asking my Mom to point out various towns. I spotted Brandon right away, and we could see my Uncle’s farm!!

When we landed we landed heading North, so we came in over Charleswood! I recognized Wilkes Ave, and Grant Blvd, and Portage and Ness, plus you could tell where Assiniboine Forest, Assiniboine Park, and the Zoo. Good times. I took a video of the entire decent over the city. Unfortch I forgot my camera cable, so I won’t get to upload it until tomorrow.

Got our car, and made it to Grandma’s safe and sound. Was soooo tired just from the past month and flying. All good. We got up this morning and ran some errands for Grandma, now we’re just waiting for my Aunt and cousins to get home as we’re going to go see them 😀

Right now I’m surfing the web via a Safeway / Telus Prepaid Internet Card. Not bad actually. It’s dial up, but it’s fairly fast (faster than I was expecting!!). So far it’s only disconnected on me once, which isn’t bad. I got 16 hours for $20!!! o_o Not sure if I can use it all up though. We’ll see. Once we go up to Pine Dock to visit my brother, it will cost me more to access the net since it will be long distance. Oh well. 🙂
