Not entirely sure where I left off, but here goes.
Thursday night we all went out for dinner at the Marigold. Yummy. Then we went back to Auntie Mary’s where Jen, Kris, Braeden, and I played a round of Star Wars Monopoly. LOL. I kept getting confused with all the pieces because they aren’t like typical Monopoly, and they renamed the squares. I’d say Boardwalk, and the board would say Jedi Council. LOL. Went to bed and didn’t get much sleep because I was attacked by two assasin kitties. I guess the two cats usually sleep with Kristopher, but since I was sleeping in his bed I guess they figured they’d sleep with me. Of course every time I moved my legs, Hershey would pounce and claw at them (owwies). But they were cute and kept my feet warm.
I woke up to the sound of purring too. Hershey jumped on the bed right by my face and demanded to be patted. But I wanted to sleep more, so I put him on the ground. A few minutes later, he was back on the bed again. After a few times of this happening he waited a few minutes, then went into stealth mode: He jumped on the night table really quietly, then crawled around above my head and snuggled between my back and the wall. After a few more tries to get him off the bed, I gave up and scratched his ears. Eventually I got out of bed.
Then I drove Kris and Braeden to swimming lessons, and Jen and I bought them slushies. After that my parents came, and my Mom, Jen and I went and got groceries, and then the four of us drove up to Pine Dock to see Dan and Priscilla. Took about 3 1/2 hours, but it was better than when we did it two years ago (it was dark, foggy, and storming out on gravel, washboard roads. This time is was sunny, and the roads were nice).
Saturday we all went out on a fishing boat for a few hours. It wouldn’t be a trip to Manitoba without a sunburn: the tops of my thighs got burned, I guess due to the way I was sitting. Oh well. We came back and had dinner, then went for a walk around Biscuit Harbour. Then we had a bonfire out on the breakwater with some other Northway people. It was fun.
Today we got up and while we were deciding what to do, my brother calls and says he has spaces on his next flight out, so we get to go for a 10 minute plane ride in his Cessna to Bloodvane to drop off some other people. It was fun π
Then we came back, and Priscilla has the dayoff, so we spend about 4 hours playing cards. Of course, with my horribly unlucky self I didn’t win. Oh well, it was still fun. Though I’m not too fond of a game we learned, called 7 Up Rummy. BOOOO. Oh well.
I’m panicked now because I realised I left my binder that lists my readings and assignments at Grandma’s, and I have 2 assignments due on friday. I’m gonna have to try to get as much done without the reading listening, because we won’t be back in the ‘Peg until wednesday.
Miss everyone, and will comment in journals once I get home and am not on crappy slow dial-up!!
